The Four Seasons mattress is truly a mattress built for every season of the year. When the seasons change, the zip-and-flip design helps to keep your body temperature regulated, no matter the time of the year. Here’s a look at the layers and components of the Spring Air Four Seasons mattress:

Layers:
Top
The top of the mattress is either a wool or silk material, depending on the time of the year – both with antimicrobial fibers. The technology used in the quilt helps retain heat during the winter and transfer heat away during the summertime. Overall, this mattress leans more towards the firm side, with a comfort scale number of 6 (with 10 being the firmest).

Middle
This is a hybrid mattress (a mattress with both memory foam and coils). The middle layer of the mattress consists of comfort padding layers that provide advanced support – a 4-lb layer of quilted memory foam, Quilted ComfortFlex® foam, and ComfortFlex® foam.

Bottom
At the base of the mattress, you’ll find an 800 zoned coil system with individually wrapped coils (all of which help provide targeted support). And, depending on where you buy your mattress from, there is an optional renewable wood foundation.
